Un Hughes 269C d'immatriculation privée s'est écrasé près du Lac Mourier, QC. Aucun décès ni blessé. Centre national de l’exploitation (NOC) et Opérations d'aviation avisés.

Date: 2014-10-28 Further Action Required: Yes O.P.I.: Maintenance (Quebec Region) Narrative: MISE À JOUR : A14Q0164 : Le Hughes 269C privé immatriculé C-GLVP effectuait un vol VFR de quelques minutes à destination du terrain situé à un NM au sud de Malartic, QC, avec seul un pilote à bord. Lors de l'approche pour l'atterrissage, à une hauteur d'environ 20 à 30 pi au-dessus du sol, un lacet rapide vers la droite est survenu. Le pilote a perdu la maitrise de l'hélicoptère résultant en un atterrissage brutal. L'appareil a basculé sur le côté et subi des dommages importants, mais le pilote n'a pas été blessé.

 

 

 

Translation: On a short flight, with only the pilot on board, on final, approx. 20-30 ft AGL, a/c experienced sudden right yaw. Pilot lost control resulting in a brutal landing. A/C rolled over and sustained important damage, but the pilot was not injured.

 

Sounds like classic LTE to me. Happy the driver walked away...
