Holy cow

Also if it's of any interest to anyone, I recently learned you can copy/paste METAR and TAFs to ChatGPT and it will interpret them for you, which is pretty impressive! It struggles with the Zulu date/time combos though.

Imagine how much money mr FltDutyXLS could have been making right now if he'd updated to the new regs! For myself, I use SmartLogbook on android. It lets me set my own custom limits, so I can at least get close to keeping tabs on Duty Time etc. Also good for filling out Forestry and other client Pilot forms, because you can filter your totals by a/c Manufacturer, Type, Model, etc. You can also create custom times, like if you want to track longline, heliski, mountain time, hover exits, wireline...

No more plain language METAR/TAF?

Lots of websites pulled from AWWS too, I hope they can pivot. If it ain't broke...

Anyone else feel like pulling their hair out just trying to get a simple morning GFA?

Horrible news. Doesn't say who's machine but does say it was a "work" helicopter. Condolences to the company, coworkers, friends and family... Really really sucks to lose another fellow aviator this winter...

Friends in Kelowna sent me this story on Castanet but I didn't want to start a rumour mill churning on here. Here's hoping for the best possible outcome...

Yeah I see the Light Amplifier yellow photocromatic lenses and the High Contrast rose photocromatic ones. So I waffle between those, but moreso I was wondering which frames you like. They all seem too chunky to go under a helmet/earcups.

Which model do you like? I have a hard time finding the right lenses on their site

Slightly off topic but does anyone use amber/yellow glasses when flying in the winter? I down sized to an LH050 with a dark visor but I'm considering finding some thin framed amber glasses to have for overcast days in the mountains

No, the end of the videos show dudes in flight suits and helmets gingerly crawling off a roof, it's bonkers.

The fact that people walked away from this boggles my mind
