Camera Ball

Does anyone have or know where I could find a gimballed camera ball to rent for a few days? Or buy? Astar or B4 preferably. Lots available online but the TC STC seems to be an issue.

I hope you have lots o' money!! To buy a good system like Shotover, cineflex etc is about 700k +.. Another option might be a Movi, which aren't too bad out of a heli depending on the shot.

I have a business card in my office for a guy who runs a camera around the west coast of the continent. I will check tomorrow morning. Uses the single pole STC for the AStar which lets you bolt on any camera. Super easy to install as long as you have a hole cut for a Tyler mount etc. If you don't.... well you will now....

Pretty sure this is the guy ThreePer is talking about, Jeff Turner. He owns a Cineflex HD with an AStar STC. John B. has dealt with him in the past for Caribou filming out of YZF. Also has a RED EPIC and a selection of glass as part of his travelling kit.

Not sure if he has equipment, but he could possibly point you in the right direction.

 

We did get some equipment from here: http://www.whites.com , but I'm not sure if the have the entire STC mount or just the Gimbal.
