False promises you got as a carrot.

I know you worked a lot of overtime, and we said we'd pay it at the end of season. But if you want the endorsement we're going to use your overtime to offset the training costs. -
As a low time guy who's caught the short end through a few of the most notorious operators, I appreciate that so many higher time guys care. So many people forget once their struggle is over that their are other people trying to get going.

A consultant recommendation gives an insurer grounds to deny a claim. Bend a machine and have less than the arbitrary number of hours, no settlement coming. Insurers require a consultant, a company will stop using a consultant that cashes your cheque just to say everything is fine as is. As a result every year the recommended hours get nudged up higher.

Naw, low time names will go in the log book but their payload offsetting mass won't ever get in the seat.

Or operators who fudge numbers on pay, try to hold money hostage in exchange for training or withhold because 'training you costs us more than that'... right, opportunity is so rare for low time that you don't usually get to choose. -

Context matters. LR has the news copter contract. If you read the whole section, it is a specific program they offer. Work flying their news chopper and get those hours. They have a limit (I believe 2 seasons) then they move on to a next candidate.

Naw, McDonald's abides by labour codes. When you factor in mandatory OT/on-call, days off that aren't a sure thing, count on making well below minimum wage.

Everyone knows, the key to a lasting relationship is to NEVER see eachother. Less chance of upsetting the warden that way. -
Universal along with Lake Else closed.

If you really want to stir up a hornet's nest, start a thread on companies that SHOULD disappear. -

Don't be requesting your legal entitlements, it's an instant negation of all the work and reputation you've developed.
