That's quite the bombshell to see unleashed today. I had no idea this was even in the works!! For all the members, I have no idea what has brought this about nor was I made aware... I think it's safe to say that I am the moderator who has had the most involvement here and I WILL miss those friendships I have made. If anyone wants to stay in touch, send me a message before the rug is pulled, I mean the forums cease operations. Grantπ

Does anyone know if this has been released yet? Latest one I can find is 2023...

What happened to the BC air ambulance post?
twinstar_ca replied to Actuality's topic in General Helicopter Operations
For the record, the decision on this topic was made higher up the chain than myself. All i know is that VertA (admin) made that call. As for the Covid stuff, i moved it to just conversation so those that want to discuss their theories can do so with like minded folk. Hope that answers some of the confusion/questions. -

If they were even smarter, they would NOT use a venue like this to slag companies, individuals, etc.... I mean, come on... are you a professional or not... π -
Alberta Gov't Lease of Dauphin From BC

Some great points are being raised here... I see the gov't (alta) officials as saying hey, we did a trial last year and it went fine... sorry for your inconvenience North Shore Rescue... would the vendor not clearly state what logistics would be needed and would the client not have to make a decision to accept them?? you do NOT undertake this kind of operation without looking at all the scenarios.... π² -
Just the safety guy in me talking, but the driver's own helmet was being repaired so i presume he just had a headset on. I know they are not cheap new, but I got mine surplus from CPS for $500... I think the cost to the operator of a spare helmet or 2 for use when needed is far less than the cost of replacing the machine and/or pilot.. just my $0.02 worth... and always, always worth the time and 2nd look to make sure the line is completely clear BEFORE initiating the takeoff/lift... ππ

Lots being made in the news about the new 5 year lease from Talon for fire fighting with NVG's. Anyone know where the machine will be based or will it just transit as needed. I know Talon got another machine last year so hope it won't affect NSR any more...

Tried to copy the link but the report is very interesting to read. As my original IP like to quote, learn from the mistakes of others as you don't have enough time to make them all yourselves... Read with an open mind and NOT well, I would never do that... Thank you to a lost brother for educating us... ππ a21c0038.pdf ps. guess it worked after all....
