  1. My thoughts and prayers are and will continue to be with the everyone at cougar, the passengers and their families. Very devastating.
  2. Well done Lonnie, don't ever let anyone tell you that you should've just taken it back because you were close. Very good to hear.
  3. After the full DI, there is no need to go back over it again. Between flights I check fluid levels or anything else that needs attention at the time and another walk around before climbing back in before we go.

  8. So sad, even us who don't know the crew feel pain, for we are all brothers. heartfelt sorrow and condolences to families. a sad time for all of us.
  9. I presented the same question recently to my agent. In regards to the dangers of being a private/casual pilot apposed to a professional. He made some phone calls and submitted my application for a much lower rate. Should hear back from them soon.
  10. Glad to hear the pilot and px's made a safe exit.
  11. When I got the loans for my initial in Alberta, I managed to get the full 20 grand. After everything was said and done the feds helped me out and I had to repay only half. Check out all the options. Of course you won't be able to do this if you're making a respectable wage in the patch.
  12. When I was a 100hr wonder I used to really enjoy hearing from people like ichimama, cuz I knew 100% they posed no threat for job competition. You have a big hurdle to jump Ichimama, get out there and be persistant, it won't be easy. Or just stay with mom and dad, cuz who wants to ruin the whole summer by driving around looking for a job, that would suck, right. Besides, you can't just cancel your weekend plans like that.
  13. Lookin for any more Canadians in that part of the world db?
  14. I'll trade ya rotorhead...but I don't think you'll use the salmon rod too often.
  15. I couldn't agree more vert ref. Have to wonder what the intentions are on both sides.
