  1. I know this subject has been beaten to death, but given the new market situation I think it is just fair to have refreshment discussion on drivers rates. What is the contract rate per day for a 212 F.O. IFR ? Same as above but for a Capitain? Thanks!
  2. Hello I am a canadian 3000 hrs pilot, IFR, night, ATPL, endorsed on BH206, AS350 and BH212. What companies are there to get into IFR flying?, besides the big names, like Cougar, CHL and Ornge, is there any others wit regular scheduled rotations? National or International Thanks
  3. I wished I could find a less tedious tour than 4-2, but that is what I have been doing for the last 12 years... I make somewhat more than 100K but the cost of 4-2 is pretty high
  4. Hi I have been toying with the IFR idea por the past 4 years and since I am 41 now, I think it is now or never. What IFR schools do you guys recommend in the Quebec, Ontario area? Thanks JM

  6. 4 hours min?, last time i saw something like that was in 2005 if I remember well. Here in the belle province, we get 3 hrs min during the busiest season, got to say that we are busy ...
  7. From the pics, the 350 looks like it would be possible to use for long linning with the astar, I own the 250 and can't long line with it, the front and top of the head are too tall

  17. Hi I am about to order a Gallet 250 Helmet with two visors, one yellow and one "black". Well the person that will order the helmet for me asked me if i wanted the yellow visor one the outside or on the inside of the helmet, and consequently the black visor.... I heard the yellow visor for low vis sometime distorts the vision a little so it is better to put it in the inside slider of the helmet that way it would be closer to the eyes causing less distortion.... Does anyone has any experience or advise with this helmet and where to put each of the visors....it is the first time I am buyin
  18. Hi Anyone working in the reserve? I would like some opinions about it, how it is, what kind of flying do you do, etc... all the info you can give is greatly appreciate it JM
  19. To answer my inicial question, I just finished my training on the R22, (70+) hours, going to the R44 for 20hrs and then 10 hrs B206. Well the training on the R22 has been most satisfactory, I am at 210lbs and the intructor about 175 lbs, we could go out 1.5 with no problems, great to simulate a really laded machine to the max, due to the R22 lack of power, had to pil0t her with a lot of finesse. So the R22 can take up to 240lbs per seat but don't expect to fly more than 1 hour at that weight.
