  3. a simulator? wow .. and a first class show.. yup, i agree with the other guy . you sound like a sales pitch! about the new school in pitt meadows . I know 1) that each flight is recorded on dvd ...you can go home and watch your lesson over and over again, you can go over it with the instructor and you can see what your flying looks like. I am sure this makes each flight lesson much more effective. 2) Rob is a first class teacher, he also has industry experience with thousands of hours in the bush as a long line specialist. 3) Every experienced pilot would agree with the fact t
  4. that sucks sorry to hear this. I had the same thing happen to me. It took 3 weeks and I got it back . I was told it was lost for good and the usual bs .... Then one day a delivery truck appeared and it arrived to the return address. Make sure you call every day until you get a straight logical answer from someone in charge.... they can track it by all the stops made on the way,,, calling each stop one by one.. get the bosses boss to do it. make a stink about it. Call the head office ask to speak to the supervisor of the supervisor and you just might get it back. maybe it just sit

  7. if your only options are: 1) the sun in your face. (you are saying blinding glare from sun your face right?) 2) a tailwind approach to avoid a blinding glare. 3) you have no options for a cross wind approach . The specific confined spot your talking about is not suitable at that time. :cop: but you do you have other options: 1) if you really must be at this specific confined spot then just come back to your spot when the angle of the sun changes and you can do your approach into the wind :groove: (could take max 30 minutes to change ) 2) just simp

  9. I tuned in to discovery channel early,,,,, they had a marathon of best ever episodes,,,, one on tanks, fighters, beer, bombers, best ever sport cars,,,, etc… -how were the shows ?? Example of one,,,,, after watching the one on ‘best ever sports cars’,,, It was all serious and interesting ….. Then someone decided to have a Mazda Miata in the top ten and it came in second place!! ? It beat Ferrari, Corvette etc…..…? - What does this have to do with helicopters? The air crane was impressive -to see fire fighting and emptying out peoples swimming pools so they can put out the fire
  10. No worries  I promise someone will come through with it on tape. If I still had a vhs I would do it for you for sure! I only have a dvd player and it does not record. I was the last person on earth to buy a dvd player by the way... I could borrow a vhs player from a friend and take care of it. Let me know if someone comes through before me. In the meantime I will muster up a vhs player somewhere and tape it for you . Cheers

  12. Firstly, I want to thank you I enjoy reading this informative thread! I am taking notes of the stories the experienced pilots share on this site and this is my favorites and a very informative thread. Right now I am getting info before i start in the great white north where the trees dont grow. -What do you guys wear up there while your working? The question is,, to stay comfortable working and at the same time be prepared in extreme cold weather conditions? I want to wear it while i fly .. just my my shovel and stove are in the cargo the rest I wear... for example,, what b
