  1. Concept Finishes on bridgeport Road in Richmond B.C. can match and sell you aerosol paint for the Astar. You just need to buy a case. I used it and it was a perfect match and covers well. they have the facilities there to put your preferred paint in aersol dispensers. I highly recommend Concept, I have dealt with them for 20 years and always been satisfied. Gordon Dale London Air Services
  2. I heard CHL is considering 412 and AW139 in Afganistan, $ 1000. USD per day, I heard this from a CHL edmonton Employee
  3. I just recently ordered 2 100 footers and also a 50 footer from Dart Aerospace They are equiped with power cords and are called Plasma Long Lines, very flexable and come with a nice carry bag and proper ends. Sure beats the old style steel long lines we all used a few years ago. Gord Dale London Air Services
  4. I PREFER THE CHADWICK 8500, WHEN YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING YOU CAN MAKE 2 CHANGES PER RUN AND GET THE BALANCING JOB DONE FASTER. PRODUCT SUPPORT IS EXCELLENT FOR THE CHADWICK LINE
  5. IT IS DESIRABLE TO HAVE AT LEAST S-76C, C+, ,C++, OR AS365, AW139, OR S-92 HAVING ONE OF THESE ENDORSMENTS WILL DEFINITELY FIND YOU EMPLOYMENT WITH A OFF SHORE SUPPORT COMPANY, ASSUMING YOU HAVE A GOOD WORK HISTORY
  6. Why don't you ask a operator? Try Skyline Helicopters in Kelowna, B.C. I have talked to them before and they are happy with the A119 Koala
  7. use non moly plasti lube, available from Aviall, never use any lubricant with Moly Disulphide on steel parts, anybody who has worked on these helicopters for any length of time should know about the service letter prohibiting moly disulphide based products on steel driveshaft splines and blade pins, as when mixed with water will turn into sulphuric acid and result in nasty pitting corrosion. 8. Yes if you can safely work alone and adjust to different working conditions and cultures, CHC has a lot to offer, They are looking for S-76, S-92, AW139, and AS365 Engineers
  9. Forget the forums, if you got a complaint about a helicopter product then talk to them face to face or at least call the Manager of Product Support, not just the local tech rep. that has worked for me. Gordon Dale
