  1. Thanks for the response. Ya that sounds pretty good to me. Did you get a job right out of school? Did they assist in that search? I'm hard working, and would be dedicated to it but it's quite scary taking out that big of a financial burden and not having a job afterwards. Looking/hoping for more feedback. Don't be shy!
  2. Hey guys, Helicopters Canada located in North Bay, Ont. I did a search for it and came up with a couple threads were a few mentioned they attended. I was wondering who else attended there? Recently would be better but regardless I'd like to hear your experience. You hear more about Gateway or now Essential Helicopters which is just around the corner from them. Kind of curious why I don't hear as much about Helicopters Canada? Is there reasons for this? Thanks
  3. Some people (government) are just beyond pathetic. Like $50,000-$70,000 isn't already enough!!
  4. Good advice, Winnie. Thanks No need to tell me to be enthusiastic, I'm all that! And it's still 3 years or so before I go. I've learned that it doesn't matter what you train on because the chances of flying it are slim. Atleast for awhile, and the company you get with with help you along when it's time. I however would prefer to train on a helicopter that MIGHT be used in the industry, atleast here in Canada (R-44) because it will make it easier.
  5. It may be expensive, but it's worth it. I've decided Phil to take your advice and read FTGU before your book because your's is so indepth.
  6. Broken wrist? How the **** do you survive that! Nevermind an angel watching over him, he must of had 50!
  7. So true. Why couldn't we have just enjoyed fishing? Although I do enjoy fishing, just not as much as flying!
  8. Yeah, I was looking into RC helicoptere. The thing that you mentioned is what turned me off.. The price of it all. For someone who should be saving for training, should not be spending.
  9. But of course - But nothing is perfect now is it?
  10. Wow.. That was a great video! That guy does some awesome work. And he clearly has a great computer. This is another video showing off the graphics for FSX
  11. Thank, HeliMAN - Much appreciated and will do! I'm doin both flight sim and reading equally. Except lately I've been busy at work so I've toned both down. I definetly believe the theory part of it all is going to be difficult. The reason I'm reading up on it now is because I'm not the smartest when it comes to math or physics. So I'm hoping if I can get my head around it earlier on that I should progress through flight school easier and perhaps concentrate on the more crucial things (not that theory isn't). My next step is to hopefully get into a company or flight school and help out
  12. No, their just the best school in the province. Offer a lot of additional courses and they don't allow you to choose time on type. They have it split 50/50, on a 300 and a 206.
