Where You Live And Where You Work
Heliwrench replied to xrkyle's topic in General Helicopter Operations
What are the typical rotation schedules out there? -
Your DER would be a good starting point for your task. Like the guys say, get yourself a log book, or task sheet, and if there is something in your DER that matches your half way there. After your done, the DSM should be able to ceritify it. The DER is pretty intense so these task alone should take you far, but you will need the 6 months civil time to get your licence.

3 Die In Cormorant Crash Off Nova Scotia
Heliwrench replied to treetopflyer's topic in General Helicopter Operations
You lose an engine, you will stay airborne, not a problem. Actually, if you so desire, number 3 engine is designed to be shut down enroute to save fuel. -
Saw it today as well at YHZ. Don't know who owns it, but it has a US registration.
