Just a bundle of laughs :) :) Scary thing is I had a guy who worked for me that could use one :shock:

 

I always use MS Money for all my contract work as well as any other work expenses and income. It is really easier to use and you can create all the different income and expense categories applicable to you own needs.

That was pretty funny. My brother's a salesman. I'm gonna send it to him... :lol:

 

I was a self-employed consultant (incorporated) in my previous life. I used QuickBooks, but technically, you could use an Excel spreadsheet if you don't have inventory and don't sell products.

 

If you have an accountant, I would recommend you ask him/her what they use. If they use an expensive package, like AccPac, ask them if they use a cheaper package (like Quicken) for some of their smaller clients. The idea is they can help you set up your accounting and then when you screw up your books, they can go in and fix 'em... :lol:
