Electronics On The Road

After reading the queries about programming the FM and the number of posts that come in from everywhere, I was wondering what everyone takes on the road. Laptops, Sat Phones etc. I assume from looking at many operator sites that aircraft specific technical material as well as maintenance manuals and IPCs must be available to the engineer on the road. I would expect the satphones to be company items but do you have to take your own Laptop or is it now supplied as part of the "toolkit"?

We issue laptops to our guys in the field. I think it's becoming a lot more common.

I carry my own laptop now because you can't download porn on the company laptop.

Truthfully, I started carrying my own because I have a lot of songs downloaded, and it's a lot faster than the company issued unit.

The company does provide me with the latest revisions for the maintenance manuals.

Geez even the porn has improved from the worn out old beta tape days. :P

Electronics in the road. I thought surely this thread was about some piece of equipment gettin' run over. Gary, the O is one key right of the I. :boff:

Damm I knew someone would pick that up as soon as it was beyond my edit capabilities. Thanks for making my Sunday <_<

What error ? I think yer seein' things TQN... :bleh:

Sure, sneaky Mr. Fixelator...I know what I saw. 'Course, it could just be the extra spaces between the last word in sentences and the ending punctuation that's causing me to hallucinate. :lol:I hope I get to run over some electronic device in or on the road today. :bye:
