Hand Held Radios

Recommended Posts

I bought a four-pack very similar to those two years ago. I use them on ski patrol in the winter and usually carry one with me in the summer so I don't have to use the a/c radio as much. They work fairly well. Of the four I bought, two seem to be better than the others in terms of TX/RX range and sound quality. These are el cheapo Chinese knockoffs. They pale in comparison to Motorola's, iComms and Kenwoods, but they're ok for the price...

One thing though, don't let them get wet or very cold. They just completely stop working. On mine the battery level indicator goes from full charge to dead in a matter of a couple minutes, so don't trust the indicator. I charge mine daily when I use them...
