Mine's dark dreen, and on a sunny day, it gets pretty hot. If I had to do it over, I'd go with hite, grey or silver, or some other light color...

I've always wanted to nickname a pilot "darth". Better opt for the gloss black.

I have a matt black gallet lh250. Seems fine to me.

I've got a gloss black LH250 - the gloss doesn't show up scratches as bad as a matt paint job. I love it and have to laugh at all these theories of it getting so hot in the sun. I have never had any problems with it and never feel hot in it, and trust me, I leave it in the machine a lot during the day, but any smart pilot would try and not leave any helmet in the direct sun light for prolonged periods of time anyway to prevent sun wear damage.
