Anyone know any details about the heli that went down North of Quebec City last week?

Just got word of it. Could be a rumour!?

 

 

 

private owner!!!!! was an ec120 is terrible crash one fatality .. ....now is skid touch the water in bad condition in the morning ............flying low!! :unsure:

Narrative: Un Eurocopter Colibri EC120B de propriété privée, effectuait un vol selon les règles de vol à vue (VFR) depuis le Lac des Neiges à destination de Québec/Jean-Lesage (CYQB). Le Bureau de la sécurité des transports (BST), avisé par la police provinciale, a rapporté l'écrasement de l'hélicoptère au Lac-à-l'Épaule. Deux occupants étaient à bord de l'appareil. Le pilote n'a subi aucune blessure mais le passager est décédé.

Narrative: Mise à jour #1 : Le numéro d'enquête du BST a été ajouté. La classe d'enquête est présentement sous évaluation. Selon le rapport du BST #A08Q0110: L'hélicoptère EC120 privé a décollé du lac des Neiges à destination de Québec/Jean-Lesage (CYQB) avec le pilote et un passager à son bord. L'appareil a percuté la surface du lac à l'Épaule. L'appareil a subi des dommages importants. Le pilote a subi des blessures mineures et le passager est décédé. Selon les témoignages rapportés par les média, l'hélicoptère se serait soudainement retrouvé au milieu d'un violent orage. En tentant de trouver un endroit où se poser, la visibilité du pilote aurait été réduite en raison des précipitations.

My condolences to all involved and I'm sure the CBAA will have to respond as to why an Audit was not carried out to prevent such an occurrence. Our esteemed NDP MP colleague from BC seems to figure that any accident can be prevented as long as an audit is carried out. Good Luck.
