Hughes 500 Down In Utah

Recommended Posts

Anyone know the 2 Kiwi guys who were killed in the Hughes in Utah over the weekend? A triple tragedy for the family - one son killed in heli crash in 1998, and father and son killed in this one. This is so tragic and my thoughts and feelings go out to the families of this Kiwi family. May they find strength at this terrible time.

James Innes was well known here in NZ. He was one of the fore runners of the deer recovery era and owned one of the biggest stations here in the South Island - Haldon Station. His son Andrew was back here a few months ago to get married and was over there working for his father.

He had been living in USA for past 15 years and did most of the wild animal capture over there.

Another pioneer of the kiwi industry gone - very sad.
