Heli jay
I'm looking for anyone who owns or has owned a cfg gallet helmet. I'm thinking of buying one. Is this a good thing?

rotrhd1
I've had one for 2 years now. Excellent lid. Nice and light and fits better than a good weave! The only draw back is the ear cups that come with the helmet. In a word, they suck. There's a company called OregonAero out of Portland, OR. They supply after market, noise reduction ear cups (nor ANR) for the CGF helmets and they make all the difference. They also supply a "Hush Kit" which replaces the foam inserts with noise reducing foam and helps reduce the noise even more. You can find their web site online. It'd be a great investment but they are pricey. Good luck
