3BX2
Yes, I KNOW that it's a Bell 47, but can any one identify the exact model from the tank shape, seating, etc? Re: Paint job, does anyone have any idea which company it may have been? Just a small history project.. Thanks

Elvis
I don't think it is a G2 I will go for a G4
Ned@HeliOps
Didnt the G2 have the tank going across ways behind the cabin or was that the 47D. Ned P.S. Mine should read G5
Elvis
The cross tank was the D. The picture sucks on enlarged views, on a G4 or higher the tanks are in a saddle.
Blackmac
OK guys: B47D1 (Mash Machine) tank across the back, Franklin Engine, wooden blades B47G Tanks the same as G2 but still the Franklin Engine, wooden blades B47G2 Tanks the same as G model, Lycoming Engine, wooden blades B47G2A Larger Tanks (saddle), Lycoming Engine, went to metal blades B47G4 & G4A, wider cabin and larger Lycoming Engine, metal blades I have time in every one of them. Cheers, Don

vortex
From the picture it looks like its a narrow cabin with small tanks like a G-2 but it looks like its turbo or supercharged version. Also may have the low dash like a G-5 but its really hard to tell from the pic.
