Fire Near Indian Arm?

Monday morning I spotted a fire burning in a recent logging cut about 5 miles north of Mt. Meslilloet to the north-east of Indian Arm. Not sure if it's a controlled burn or what, but yesterday it was still going strong.

 

Anyone know the scoop?

Lots of smoke around Mt Garibaldi and in the air over the lower Squamish Valley yesterday. We were wondering where all the haze was coming from. Now we know!

Burning slash in cut block. Not a large fire but putting up lots of smoke.

Ahhhh........... the good ol' days. Some years, bombing the snot out of hunter fires and slash burn escapes in late Sept. to Thanksgiving. Burning period from about 2 PM to 4 PM. Work till about 5 PM and everything lays down and pat yourself n the back and head back to town for a bunch of beers. Only thing more fun is lighting them. :punk:
