r0t0rdr1ver
Hi folks, I've always wondered why it is we see operators in Canada run 212's almost exclusively versus the 412. I know there are obvious cost and maintenance issues, but why is it we don't see more of them in the commercial world here? Is the 212 a better performer? Any input is appreciated. Cheers! scottyp1973
3 million vs 8 mill purchase price....... that pretty much summs it up for me! helidude
Actually, according to Eurocopter, the price of a new 120 is the same as an equally equipped new jetranger.

Hover-Pig
Uh the 212 lifts more than the 412 especially with their fickle mast torque thing!
canukav8tor
Yup, concur with cost is the killer (and secondarily high induced flow from higher disc loading leading to poor performance OGE and lower AUW:basic ratio). They aren't cheap, that's for sure. AV8
