How High Is Too High

I always figure the Jet Oil in a transmission such as the A-Star or small Bells is more of a coolant than a lubricant. It is completely the wrong type of oil for gears and stuff but it is used because the turbines are using it and pilots and engineers arent smart enough to use another type. Bell has said they ran a early 206 transmission for 300 hrs with no oil and I have personally seen an A-Star ring gear with a chunk missing the size of a peanut, the only complaint about it was the growl it made for the previous 200 hours.
