Being from downunder where there is not the volume or range of Longrangers here can people please let me know what the difference and benefits between the L3 and the L4 ( mainly the finer details ) and in your operations in Canada what comparisons between the longranger and AS 350 and benefits they deliver to you and weights they lift in the cold

our L4 lifted 1500 pounds with a 100 foot line at 7200' at barely above freezing. This was a drill move with the small tail rotor and a load cell. We also took 1170 pounds to 10000' at 0 deg c, this was with no wind and ran out of tail rotor with a 50' longline.

The L3 gross weight is 4150' and the L4 is 4450'. As for the a-stars, i cant help ya there. Fly smart fly bell!
