Heli-logging On Tlc

Real bummer about the show. I spent the first Thursday with some guys from the show- they were quite dissapointed.

There are three different heli-logging-related series going on right now on cable/satellite (I have Dish Network, so not sure of availability on other cable providers).

 

Heli-Loggers is airing on The Learning Channel and the Discovery Channel is airing the series called Extreme Loggers and American Loggers. Not all episodes of Extreme Loggers and American Loggers are related to heli-logging, but some are.

 

Just saw an episode of Extreme Loggers last Saturday, featuring a Coulson crew heli-logging in BC (of course!). They were breaking in a new guy on ground crew, who was learning about the potential hook zap (sorry, can't remember the exact phrase) and trying not to get his feet tangled. No idea when it was filmed, but it was an interesting show! That is hard work!

Thanks TB! I have seen extreme loggers but there was nary a hleicopter to be seen.

Speaking of helicopters on TV I just watched Suviverman on OLN and Kokanee's Astar was on one of the episodes. :up:

I saw that last night. I wish they had shown more footage from inside the long line machine

and there was the logger who got his helicopter license and is looking for work! lol even trying on the show to find work. good show!
