It would sure be nice to know if their origin is south of the boarder, because Canada is asking for an exemption from the "buy American" program, which might have played a part in this contract.

 

Nope, they're as Canadian as it gets. Luc does have an American subsidiary though, as does VIH, Alpine and few others.

 

It might help a bit if folks understood the CTA 25% ownership rule (and its USA mirror image) a little better.

They are the former Huison Air Services out of Northern Ontario. They are 100% Canadian with an American Division.

Sounds like two out of the three pillars aren't doing so well. When I was there the smrt people told us that air ambulance, maintenance contracts and the north warning system were the "three pillars of canadian." I wonder if they are now wishing they hadn't left the bases with no support.
