Hey canook how would you like to paint a picture of what the first day of operational flying in a Kmax looks like as in where, what lenght of line, weights and altitude and so on. I would imagine there are a few of us that are just a little curios about this beast :up:

Good pic, bs. Doesn't look like you'd be rapping the sides of the cabin with the cyclic, anyway. I always thought they were about as wide as a Spitfire.

I was working in Id. at 6000 ft. with a two hundred foot line. We had a 1200 ft. drop into a small landing with a tight turn into the landing. The average load was around 5000 lbs. It was a great learnin tour.

Vortex Ring or settling with power does not exist in a K1200. That is the beauty of having your rotor masts offset 25 degrees! Just pull and it stops...life is good.

 

So Canook, was a blade strike over the block, that took down the red and white 1200? yes - no? If you have any more info PM me!
