Worked as a "choker gogher" for 8 years before getting my licence. From a hookers point of view it is one of the best machines out there. K-Max was the first machine I ever worked under. Seen it do some pretty cool s..t! Also too quiet. Sometimes I'd take a nap during maintenance and be woken up with a hook 3 ft above my nose ! Some long days back then.

I talked to some other high time Kmax drivers and they said they have had it settle, but like I said before it will stop once the loads is on the ground. I have had also heard of them coiling up 50 feet in the landind due to settleing, so who knows !

All I'm tryng to say is that the school doesn"t talk about it because they never put the aircraft into that kind of position. :up:
