User Name:Bowyer, Brent Date:2009-10-29 Further Action Required:No O.P.I.:Aviation Enforcement Narrative:A Central Mountain Air Beech 1900, Flight GLR344 on an IFR Flight from CYBL (Campbell River) to CYVR (Vancouver) was on visual approach for Runway 12 Vancouver when the Pilot reported a TCAS alert. Traffic was an unidentified VFR target, not in communication with ATC at 6000' in Class C airspace. Traffic passed with 500 feet vertical and 0.7NM lateral separation. Traffic had not been passed to GLR344.

User Name:Bowyer, Brent Date:2009-11-05 Further Action Required:Yes O.P.I.:Aviation Enforcement Narrative:UPDATE from TSB A09P0371: The Central Mountain Air Beech 1900D aircraft, C-FCMN, operating as GLR344, was on a visual approach for runway 12 at Vancouver after a flight from Campbell River when the crew received a TCAS TA alert. Traffic was an unidentified VFR helicopter, not in communication with ATC, at 6,000 feet in Class C airspace. The traffic passed with 500 feet vertical and .7 nm lateral separation and safety was not assured. The traffic had not been passed to GLR344.
