Gary Watson
I have a friend here in Calgary who is assembling a Bell 47 for new museum exhibit in Banff. He is looking for blades, engine and transmission etc. obviously do not have to be operational or with the internal parts but in good external condition. Can anyone help? Gary Watson
What model are you looking for 47??? 47G>>>47G2>>>47G4>>47G3B1 Iceman I would guess a G2 as the display is about heli-skiing and I assume it would have been the first one used in the Parks I will check I am sure he told me but will confirm Gary
Iceman72
If it is dealing with the heli skiing I believe the 47 that was used on that was a 47G3B1 that Bullock Helicopters used with Hans M. out of Banff. If my memory is correct C-FRLF. One good contact on that would be Jim Davies as I believe Jim is back in the Bannf area, as Jim was the CP about that time. 407driver
I would guess a G2 as the display is about heli-skiing Gary Terrifying! Heli-skiing with a G2 considering now we use a B2!
Gary Watson
**** it was terrifying enough flying around YYC with Kris R in one back in the early 70s. Glad there are enough around who know the actual model number. I will have Fred McC contact jim if he hasn't already
Mark_
I do believe that Jim Davies lives in Canmore and is still somewhat of a local hero. He would be a great source of information, photos I'm sure. Mark
