Peace Helicopters

Recommended Posts

Well she is for sale on The Controller if you would like to purchase some nostalgia. She is a BA flying the VIH colors now here in Campbell River.

My wife wont let me buy a horse so I think a helicopter is definitely out of the question.

Start asking for the helicopter, then maybe she'll let you have the horse instead?

Thanks for the tip, but if I start asking for a helicopter she will probably just toss me to the curb.

Gord Oliver it is Skully. Rumour has it he died penniles and homeless in Vancouver.

If true that's a very sad story.

Gord flew my 205 (VHX) in Whistler one winter heli-skiing.

He is (was) a weird duck but he brought her home all winter.

Although Adrian Erickson owned Peace Helicopters, I was Terry Jones, now Operations Manager for Highland Helicopters, that got it up and running from scratch. OLV was purchased from Gordon Oliver as the first machine although Peace also flew Adrian's Hughes 369 on occasion.

I've had the opportunity to work with some of the ex Peace guys and so far they have all had one thing in common.... they have all been amazing & talented guys, pilot & engineers alike.

I currently work along side two ex Peace'rs and they are awesome.
