FREDDIE
I see the Rcmp loading a Jet box on a deck truck on the news. I wonder where this came from. The news guys say it flew in low light situations being as it was painted black.
Freefall
http://www.ctvbc.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/C...BritishColumbia did a quick search of the registry and the machine used to belong to national helicopters but the c of r was cancled in 2007
highbladedown
It belonged to TransCanada Pipelines before that - they bought it new in 1972.
KiloMike
Ahhh, Freddie When I saw the "Here We Go Again" i suspected to see the Icefield thread started for another year! I guess the drug runner thread will have to do for now.
3BX2
Now, wouldn't have CF-THC been more appropriate
lineworker
Tremclad! Too bad there isn't a reality show to follow this thread! I would like to see the progress of the investigation. The aircraft seized in the Penticton area a few years back, did the police ever conclude and prosecute the real money players in that investigation? It boggles the mind how it just keeps going and going.
Rotorboy2
Now, wouldn't have CF-THC been more appropriate or CF-POT
06HeliMAN
The news guys say it flew in low light situations being as it was painted black. What does a black paint job have to do with flying in low light conditions? I mean you can always hear the Jetranger way before you can see it. Maybe black its black to hide in dark woods...in low light conditions.
Heliian
So i saw this article on cbc and looked at the registration. I had my hands on it a few years ago and this paint job looks better than it did before. What makes it interesting is that the reg. is on the door? in white? for an aircraft that runs drugs at night and is painted black why the **** would you put any reg at all? And don't tell me that it's for landing at airports because if i saw that paint scheme come in i'd be checking the reg. out right away. So, mr.RCMP why don't you do some checking into the airports that it's been to, most likely you'll find that there is some shady connections. 99.9% of us are hardworking and honest individuals, don't need some backwater airport manager trying to make a quick buck off of these hoodlums and giving the helicopter industry a bad name. Guest plumber
Just checked this machine out yesterday not a lockwire to be found on any of the pitch links or important parts. Is tremclad TC approved? Also in our local paper there is a notice for Joe English (some of you might remember him from his apperance in the news story about Sam Brown) to come and pick up his 1972 jet ranger or its going to auction. Must be nice to be able to afford to hand over a jetbox to the government.
