deuce bigalow Posted June 24, 2010 Report Share Posted June 24, 2010 I understand the boredom factor of checklists and auto pilot, but consider the 6weeks of UNINTERRUPTED time off..you will never get that moving drills and fires...overseas work takes a bit of getting use to..but in the end its the way to go..augmented with the occasional shift at home so you remember why your working overseas....the steady paycheck helps too.... Ha Ha. Sharkey is just waxing nostalgic. He hasn't fought a fire or had a long line on in 20 years. He loves auto pilots and oil rigs. and big money. and 6 weeks off. Coastal Posted June 25, 2010 Report Share Posted June 25, 2010 Well gee, if the VFR world in Canada is really that bad, then head overseas and leave a little more room for those of us that aren't yet jaded and actually enjoy it....and take the other guys and gals who are pining for the greener grass over there too!
