Elan Head posted a photo of a Kaman aircraft in the "photo from the field July" Since the Kmax is a single seat aircraft I was just curious to know if people were getting trained on that aircraft first (in the photo) before going solo in the Kmax?

Is that what they use for the initial training on the Kmax

We trained on the Kaman Husky (H 43) If I remember about 5 Hours time. Then we went on to the Kmax. The instructor stood on the step until the aircraft then when everything was set to go flying he instructed me to wait. He then went inside the hanger and I could see his face in a small window he instructed me to lift off. Thats it thats all. i did circuits first and off level landings then on to the long line. It was a hoot.
