Good food, huge portions

Drink Specials

Clean washrooms

Free Parking for aircraft on the grass out front, even overnight

 

Best is pilot gate right on to their patio

Lund, north of powell river. Great parking, just outside the pub on the water front. And theres a great coffee shop too.

YVR security has pretty good restraints. Put some drugs in your butt and waddle through the xray scanners. I have a feeling you will see lots of restraints and bars. Let us know if they are any good.

There is no such thing as great on-airport restaurants, maybe some ok ones though. Whenever I have to stopover at yyz, I go up to the pay per use Amex lounge in T1. Admission includes wifi, hot and cold snacks/drinks, beer, wine and spirits. Not to mention comfortable seats.

Gotta love lounge passes! Got my first one this year, presently on my sixth trip to/from Norway this year and drinking free Guiness and eating Italian Wedding Soup in YOW's Maple Leaf Lounge right now...and free wireless!

(well, I guess the company paid for the lounge pass...but free for me!)

Airport Restaurant at Qualicum beach is a great place to spend for lunch. But good luck getting a table!
