DGP
Its the same as the increase in gross weight from 5000 to 5250...get yourself a sticker

407driver
There must be a software and limitations mod to the Fadec Software as well otherwise all your gauges will be labelled "E"
407 too
There must be a software and limitations mod to the Fadec Software as well otherwise all your gauges will be labelled "E" Nope, I think your avatar got the best of you, just a FM supplement, and as DGP says, a sticker. The only other caviat is that you must do a power check and compare it to a chart in the supplement each time you want to use the new limitaions... DGP
And we know everyone will be doing that ..just check for those big E's after shutdown!!!
InspectorGadget
So from what I can gather as far as STC SR095531RC-D goes, it isn't so much an increase in "power" at all, it is is just a piece of paper saying you can take another 400lbs and a new HIGE chart. Am I missing something?

You can't put a piece of paper in the book and call it an increase in power. The STC reads that you can have a higher gross and IGE/OGE performance than standard. It had this capability already (allegedly) to do this you are just allowed to do it now. My point is that you can't call it an increase in horsepower if you are not allowed to pull the collective up any higher. If you ask the engine for more power without any changes to the FADEC you will have exceedences all over the place.
