Linear Actuator Bell 206

Wasn't sure where to post such a request. I am having sever difficulties finding a solution to automate my chicken coop door, and was thinking that an old burnt out 206 governor linear actuator would be just perfect. I have located a 12V motor that will fit and can be set to a timer.

 

So if there is anyone who has a retired 206 governor linear actuator sitting in the scrap heap, I will gladly pay the shipping. Send a PM.

 

You would be doing me a great favor as well as the birds who provide a steady supply of fresh eggs. They would be very appreciative and will sleep through the night knowing that the local raccoons are being held at bay.

try Princess auto for a actuator they have them that are 110 volt or use a old garage door opener

Thanks Freddie, that one at Princess would do fine but I am in Kweebec until I leave and cannot get to Ontario to the closest Princess Auto. Just my luck. So whats the Kweebeck version of Princess Auto.

 

Let me guess L'auto Princess! Checked Napa and No dice.

Traction might have something.....but they are mostly heavy equipment/truck stuff.

 

They used to be in St. Laurent back when I dealt with them, but their website says that they're in Longueuil now.....

If you have the motor, why not use a cable and pully? add in a limit switch and your done.
