To those of you who have gone before, I'd love to hear your experiences. I'm an avid helicopter enthusiast but am not part of the industry. Is Heli Expo something I'd enjoy, or is it pretty much for industry members only? I'm trying to decide soon so I can buy the tickets at a lower price.

EC-130, the public day(s) would probably serve you perfectly well and, yes, it's essentially an industry bash, but there's plenty to see and lots of information, brochures and, of course, swag. Lots of big business is done, though, so don't expect a lot of attention from the big manufacturers. For someone like yourself, it's probably a one-time thing, though.
