Great Slave Incident

Recommended Posts

Glad to see all are ok.

Good on Great Slave and Twin Otter crew to have pilot and pax back in Yellowknife for the night. I am sure the temperatures up there would be hard to survive in for a night without survival gear. Makes on think about the importance of briefing the customer about wearing clothing suitable for the season and temperature.

It's not uncommon to pick up Execs from "down South" at the terminal building and drive into town to replace Gucci and Brooks Bros with Sorrel and True North. If they don't think the warm gear's needed, standing around for the safety briefing usually changes their minds. :)

Glad everyone is OK.

This kinda drives home points being discussed in other threads. So take note newbies. Never fly past your last reference point, be it heli-skiing or flying in the arctic or even flying seismic bags over a farmers field.

Lets hope this is the last of these types of threads this season.

Now that is awsome Dick. Never thought of that myself. Always used what was left behind in the hangar, my extra gear, the CP's etc etc. Never thought of actually taking them shopping. Is there an SMS test/certification for that?
