Daz 56
I'm planning on investing in a 206 endorsement soon, and I figure I'll get more out of the training if I show up with a decent understanding of the machine. Does anyone have this book, and would you recommend it as a good supplement to the flight manual? Thanks in advance, - Darren

Winnie 94
Hi Darren, I really liked it, and I gleaned a few ideas outta the book that I did not know prior. So a good investment IMHO. Now I am a bookhound so... See if you can get someone who has some jetranger knowledge to show you the machine on the ground, just a very thorough walk around. If you are in southwestern ontario, I can probably hook you up... Cheers Hagar

Further to that, I have Phil's "Professional Helicopter Pilot Studies", and I like it - I used it as a supplement to my school texts, and I still have it here sitting beside the couch. Hagar - I'm in southeastern BC, but I greatly appreciate the offer! There is a local company that I can (and do) badger for information, so with luck I'll get a good run-down of their 206L-3 one of these days when they have a slow heli-ski day. Off to place my order.... Cheers! Darren

JeffGW 0
Hry Guys, I know Phil personally and have just finished all my exams (CPLH) thanks to his material. I will certainly be getting the 206 book to assist me with the type rating. Also have "Professional Helicopter Pilot Studies" - "Helicopter Principles of Flight" and several others. All great stuff. Do yourself a favor - buy it. Jeff Gath-Walker
