I was there for a a year and a half before they sold their seismic division to Mustang.Good guys and a great place for low time guys to get a start. They had some issues in the past but I think in the past 12 months things have definately improved for them.

Egg driver

AES as is well known, is the evolution of Recon, the company was started by Eric Gould.

I believe after a short break he is back at the helm with office in Calgary or Edmonton. Al Menard the CP seems like a nice guy but I have only spoken to him once or twice, so of more I have no knowledge.

I think they operate some turbine machines too. 350/ 206./maybe even 205, but I am not sure..?

Sour gas plant work????, Ahhh.. no thanks... hard on ones lungs...know guys trying to get as far away as possible!!

Cheers, seasons greetings

Ryan,

If looking for work up here ( Northern Alberta), and you come up dry, there is lots of oil field work around so you can at least get your feet wet. The pay is pretty good generally all around, so you can at least afford to stick around. Even now I work strictly as an operator in the winter and fly in the summer. Just make sure you have all your basic tickets including a drivers abstract. H2S, first aid, TDG, WHMIS etc. A class 3 drivers licence wouldn't hurt either. Good luck
