justfly
...I think he has HJ worried as they are fighting to keep him out of YVR and YYJ harbour heli-pads... What's the state of this? Is Coulson operating between Vancouver and Victoria?
brittonc
What's the state of this? Is Coulson operating between Vancouver and Victoria? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We are still having meetings trying to resolve our differences. We are not operating, and we are trying to work out a deal that is fair for both companies. The position taken by Pacific Heliport Services (Heli Jet's subsidary company) was that there is no room in the market for any other operators, therefor we get no landing times and cannot fly. downwash
Here's a pic of the bird I got when it visited us for fuel a while back. Radical!
67november
Hi Britt, is this guy a renegade looking to open the market for that area or a wild cat trying to increase the compitition? that is a rather wild paint scheme on that bird!
DecuMajor
I would be interested to know what, if any, market research has been done by Coulson that leads them to believe there is additional market capacity on the routes being considered. If, on the other hand, Coulson's primary business strategy for this new venture is revolving around greatly reduced fares only, I would then want to know how the operating costs of a tricked out 61 compares to a clapped out Twin Otter. amodao
Who cares what it costs, helicopters are cool and clapped out furry mammals that fly aren't! (Beavers, Lonely Otters and their cousins the Twins)

There is no other helicopter or airplane that can compete with our helicopter when it come to ride quality. Each seat is individual, and designed and built all in house. These are hi back, leather seats. All of the seats have BOSE noise cancelling head phones, and any of the double seats, or our conferance center can talk to each other, isolated, so you can have personal converstaions. The helicopter also is equipped with 4 DVD screens, to play music concerts, or the news, which can be heard through all of the headsets also. If you only want to talk, and not losten to music, each headset also has a volume control for music and for people talking so you can ajust teh sound to your liking. If you fly with us, we are cheaper then heli-Jet, same price at the floatplanes, we are faster, quieter, and more luxurious then all of them. No one has stepped up to the plate with a million plus dollar interior and a world class helicopter. We charge $99 a seat, and with the same cost as the floatplanes, faster then the floatplanes, and almost 1/2 the cost of Heli-Jet's usual $160 ticket price, we will let you guys decide who to fly with. GoldMember
Nice gear in the machine, but having leather seats and Bose headsets doesn't mean that there is room in the market for another operator. Is this simply going to become another rate cutting game?

Is this simply going to become another rate cutting game? So what if it is or ends up to be, they have the right to enter that market whether anyone of you guys think they should or not, of course Helijet doesnt want them to operate on those runs why would they want a competitor who can offer a cheaper price and better ride.
