what is the max eternal load for this machine ?.

I was surprised how few logs they took on each turn , seemed to be one large and 2 medium sized. Great Video , i will show it to my daughter.

there is some big wood on the side of that hill. just look at the riggers walking thru the patch. that timber is a lot bigger and heavier than you think! the species makes a big difference - fir and larch feel like lead!

The Vertol is doing up to 10000lbs pretty regularily and probably does 8-9000 average. No Larch where she's loggin. Would be Cedar, Spruce , and doug Fir etc..

 

Not exactly sure how much they make, but I think around 90-110 as a captain with Helifor. Aparently more for other heli logging company's

awful big step from the 500 to the 107 one would think!

 

there is larch in just about every tree stand in western canada. it was to compair wood types and weights. hemlock, fir and larch being the heaviest...pine, spruce and cedar being the lightest. the big daddy of them all, grand fir!

 

logging is not done by the size of the wood in the turn, but the weight of the turn. don't let the video fool you - its all about the load scale!
