The Vertol is doing up to 10000lbs pretty regularily and probably does 8-9000 average. No Larch where she's loggin. Would be Cedar, Spruce , and doug Fir etc..

 

Not exactly sure how much they make, but I think around 90-110 as a captain with Helifor. Aparently more for other heli logging company's

awful big step from the 500 to the 107 one would think!

 

there is larch in just about every tree stand in western canada. it was to compair wood types and weights. hemlock, fir and larch being the heaviest...pine, spruce and cedar being the lightest. the big daddy of them all, grand fir!

 

logging is not done by the size of the wood in the turn, but the weight of the turn. don't let the video fool you - its all about the load scale!
