Heli Ops
Helicopter pilot''s quick stop costs more than expected 17.04.2003 A pilot''s dash to spend a penny has cost a Queenstown helicopter company $1.5 million. Glacier Southern Lakes general manager Pat West said the pilot left the new Eurocopter 120 running when he stopped to relieve himself at Mt Tutoko, near Milford, on his way to pick up two hunters. Looking back, he saw the helicopter skid along the ground before falling down a bank. "It is pretty well totalled," Mr West said.
407 Driver
Ah yes, the helicopter sliding over the bank when the pilot is away trick, we''ve seen it before up here in Canada. ...could be another successful insurance job, or could be simply far too much coffee.... I''m thinking it''s the first, the company was so dissapointed on the 120''s performance and costs, and the lack of parts and support that they contracted this individual to..."get rid of it", in favor of the 407 that I''m delivering to them when I''m there next month... Yea, that''s the TRUE story here Either way, it should be written up in VORTEX, right CTD? ""COFFEE....A DANGEROUS SUBSTANCE?"
