Elvis
Do they still turn the tailboom black in record time? :elvis:
T-rex
The only thing that turns the boom black is burning that Jet A and lack of 'wax on...wax off' from the Engineer! It is a clean engine guys, not the answer to everyones prayers.... If ya want to talk dirty engines lets start with the C28....!
beltdrive
Black Tail boom........mmmmm the colour of money.........
Batfink
The tailboom gets black in about 1 hour with the old combustion chamber. With a new chamber, you need to wash it every 30 hours or so - better than a PT-6 or a C28 that's for certain... p.s. you can't buy jet B anymore.... T-rex
Batfink, Jet B is readily available here in Alberta, we burn that stuff all the time. It seems that it being phased out, like most thought, was only a myth! For the advantages it provides, I hope it never goes!
Batfink
Hmmm, I hate those vicious rumours...
