Zazu
Back in the heyday of logging in BC "Renewable Resource" was the term of the day. At the same time I and my compatriots were sending wood down the hill sometimes in excess of 1000m3 a day. That said wood was in many cases 500 yrs +. IT DOES NOT GROW BACK THAT FAST. But hey it was how I made my living Times have changed but sometimes so do attitudes. My father, a logger of twenty years, become economic critic of logging practices, sat down at Christmas dinner and wondered at the irony... " I have one son that needs it to burn (me), and another that needs an economic meltdown or WW III (speculative geologist in oil and gas)...Well..." he says " My house is paid for, my wife is happy, my kids are healthy, let it be so."
