Skidz
Forgive my ignorance but isn't there a way to have a seperate doctor and keep your medication private? Are they really piss testing for prozac these days? I understand the need for honesty and integrity but I'd rather fly with a chemically balanced pilot then a twitchy time bomb. Absolutely. I have my family doctor and my CAME. However, if you don't declare a significant medical condition to your CAME, your medical is invalid. If something happens, everybody and his dog will sue your a$$.
deuce bigalow
Absolutely. I have my family doctor and my CAME. Additionally if your GP is aware of a grounding condition and does not report to TC he will be in the shyte.
350B3
Doesn't matter who your doctor is, it must still be reported. See a therapist to start ( best comment ). You will be suprised how they can help. I have some experience with this.
lineworker
Hmm, didn't know there was a benefit for std's....kidding. You have it inverted, the benefit comes before the side-effect. Talking out problems is what this forum is all about, isn't it? If I didn't think I'd be committed I might go see a therapist. I'll stick to scotch.
Grasshopper
Hopefully, the "twitchy time bomb" will get spotted and, in his clear interest, reported by his peers or managers before something unfortunate occurs. As for MDs, I understand they're required to report patients known to be pilots for relevant maladies. Isn't all this depressing?!?
