College Of Professional Pilots Of Canada

Recommended Posts

rip old school? The old bush pilot is your heritage, unless you are not Canadian and to forget your past is to recreate it's mistakes. The old bush pilot had little to do with rules and regulations as there were few, so he/she was left to use common sense, ingenuity, lessons learned from peers, and all around him beit the mechanic, the fisherman, the hunter, the farmer, the logger, the miner to do his job safely. He learned the hard way, and the easy way to do things. Without him none of us would enjoy the reputation of being some of the most safe, highly trained, skilled pilots in the world. As they say on tv, forget you.

Old school dead, no more Bush Pilots??? I am still here, still flying steady for 35 years now, just have a bigger drawer full of paperwork!! Landing at 12,000 feet on a hot windy

day is still the same as it was 35 years ago, just have a little more horsepower now. No manuals to read or exams to pass on final approach up there!
