B3E Seat Crashworthiness

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had the misfortune to test the crash-worthiness of the B3e seats? I am not impressed with the way the old seats disintegrate in a crash & would be interested to know if there has been any significant improvement with the new aircraft seats.

They are the same as most new Eurocopter product. I've had the misfortune of testing the old seats without lasting damage. The new ones are meant to collaps and I've been told that they ae great protection however they are useless if you store items underneath them. Here's hoping none of us has to test the effectiveness of the seats!!!

29 G's????

Seat is good to 20 G's but unfortunately the floor supporting the seat is not even close to that!

And if your sitting anywhere on the rear seats, well good luck.
