Seems more light twins are in BC, a couple of EC135s out in Langley, BC looks like they're owned by HNZ (Canadian Heli) & brought in from their Global division IN NZ/Australia from the scuttle butt out there. Probably for oil & gas support and maybe overhead powerline work? A good move as it seems more and more of the clients in those sectors are looking for these types of light twin options, and having more of the same type is good for clients who are using the same types versus the types where there are only 1 or 2 in the Canadian Fleet. Amazing, soon quite the fleet of light twins in Western Canada with the AS355F2, AS355N/NP & now the EC135 + the couple of BK 117, MD900, B427, & the one B206LT & BO105LS give the clients in the above sectors a lot of options.

I heard CHL was getting some 135s.

The light twin market is certainly expanding rapidly.

The real issue will be trying to find enough guys with enough twin time and time on type to fill the contracts.

You are correct. We have imported two EC135s from Australia to operate this summer (and beyond) in Western Canada and are actively recruiting talent to fly and fix them.

We are excited about the prospect of operating the aircraft and hope that the marketplace shares our excitement.

Cheers

Walter

There are many skilled peolpe in country, twins aren't magical, they still have one drivetrain. Finding people to fix and fly them is not an issue, they can be trained.

The real issue is that the customers are asking for 500+ twin time not the fact that some piece seat meat can fly the a/c. Makes it difficult to find drivers and abide by the customer regs in a rapidly growing twin market!
