Getting Into Twin Engine's?

Just wondering what is out there for someone just shy of 2000hrs for getting a foot into the twin engine world?

It seems there are more light twins arriving in Canada than there are experienced twin drivers, so there might be a gap to fill? The biggest hurdle is the customer, min 100Hr on type for BC Hydro for example. Could take a long time to meet those requirements once endorsed/ppc'd.

What a mess, with all these minimums to meet there will be no twin drivers eventually.

 

Can you get a multi rating from a fligt school?

No such thing as a Multi rating for helicopters, it's just a type endorsement, although you will need to do a PPC on a twin annually, and a ppc or pcc on a single - if you jump between both.

I guess the easiest transition is probably from AS350 into AS355.

Or 205 into 212...

Find a company that flies both types?

Get IFR/ATPL?

U can write ur HAMRA HARON and come join Ornge with a CPL!! They'll give u the endorsement (S76 or AW139) plus benefits and a 4 days on 4 days off schedule...

Shame Wildrose I just got back from my 139 endorsement and 30 days overtime for training

 

Try Phoenix they're in your neck of the woods....

 

Contact Ornge anyway as they have a touring base in Moosenee flying S76. I know 1 Captain lives in BC and they fly him in for his rotations...pay scale is slightly different but he makes it up in travel overtime.
